About this collection

The Soviet Anti-Religious Propaganda Collection comprises one issue of the anti-religious Soviet periodical, Bezbozhnik u stanka ("Atheist at the Machine"), and nine propaganda posters issued by that publication circa 1926. The images of these posters reflect the period of official atheism in the newly-created Soviet Union of the 1920s and illustrate Communist anti-religious messages.

This collection of digitized images was made from original items held in Saint Louis University Libraries Special Collections, Rare Books.
